Tie Rod Ends the Same?

Basically, I'm getting ready to pull my p/s rack and put in a manual one. The tie rods on the manual rack are bad, but the ones on my p/s rack are good. Can I use these on the manual rack without a problem, or are the tie rods different? I tried a search, but couldn't find anything on this particular question. Thanks Guys.

The manual steering racks use different tie rods.

I think they are the outer ones....the ones at the very end that attach to the wheel.

Since you mention it though, are the inner ones inside the rack or something, and what do they do?

The inner tie rod ends are attached to the rack, half hidden by the rubber boot. As far as what they "do", they're the inner half of the tie rod. There is an internal joint inside the boot right where it attaches to the rack.
