GRRRRR!!!! It still wont start!!!!
OK It's me again. So far i have pulled the plugs and the fuse, cranked it dry. I went and got a new battery today (550 c.c.amps) because the one i had was dead and i cant be dealin' w/a dead battery when im tryin to get my car started.
When i put the plugs back in, it cranks slower. Is this normal?? also what is the atf trick?? i cant find it anywhere!! all i get is some halfass explanation or i get other peoples posts about "whats the atf trick?" How can i test my coils w/o gettin' knocked on my ***?! Another thing when i crank the engine my volts are dropping to almost dead!!! with the ignition in the on pos. the volts are normal but as soon as i crank it it weakens!!

Even if you have a new battery, it may not be fully charged because it could have been sitting on the shelf for months at the store. If you have a charger hook it up over night, and see if that makes a difference the next day.
For the coils, use a timing light to make sure they are all firing when they should. Your wires are in good condition right?
As far as the ATF trick goes, basicly you just pull the plugs, squirt a small amount into each rotor, hand turn the engine to the next set of rotor sides, squirt, and repeat, until you get each side of each rotor. Then you just let it sit over night and fire it up the next day. The ATF will loosen and dissolve some of the carbon in the engine, and help the apex seals to make better compression. You will need to clean your plugs a few times, when you try to start it, as the fluid will foul them. When it finally does start, your neighbors will be cursing your name because of all the smoke your car will pump out for about 10 minutes or so.
As far as your starting problems go, if you have already compression tested the engine, and it is OK, then doing the ATF treatment will probably not solve your problem, but if your compression is a little low, then it may do the trick for you.
Hope this helps,

I'm not sure but someone had mentioned turning the alternator pulley or just bumping the starter. like i said i still have to do the atf trick, i gotta work 2morrow so most likely i'll do it over the weekend.
i know your pain
alright i have been through your same situation 3 times, this is what you do-buy new leading plugs if the car has been sitting for a while or they have been contaminated or fouled with oil, atf,or gas more than a dozen times-next if your car was sitting for a period of time then do the atf trick-before you do that pull the top plugs and leave the bottom ones in hooked up to the wires and every thing, crank the engine, you should see flames shooting out of the top spark plug holes(it will also make a wierd scaping sound 'but that is the fuel and the spark igniting, be causious because you can catch your car on fire, so as soon as you see or hear that stop!!!-one more thing does your car kinda backfire when you are trying to start it, because that is what mine did.(only after i did the atf trick-i read some one talking about checking the compression' well it is kinda hard to do that when your car hasnt started for a while because the rotary engine has very low compression on start up-the fact that the engine turns sloer when you put the spark plug in tells you that it is building some sort of compression-Try some of these things and you should get closer to starting your rx up
good luck

THANX CHUBB, Glad to see not everyone has their head jammed up their ***,and i can actually get some usefull info outta someone.

Alot of what you have to do to get your car started depends on what happened when it died....And to elaborate on the ATF trick, ALWAYS pull the bottom plugs! And inject the ATF into the oil injection hose.
when mine had trouble starting in would turn really slow like the battery was dead. I would always have to use my fuel pump cut switch or it would flood. It was the starter, worn out brushes. once i fixed it ,the car cranks nice and fast and starts up nice all the time.
