Need your advice on my 87 TII compression
Just had a compression check done on my car and was hoping for a thumbs up/down from you guys about whether you think I've still got decent life left in it (or if it's on the way out)...
Readings were -
Front: 7.0, 7.0, 7.3
Rear: 7.2, 7.6, 7.5
I'm assuming the units are kgm/sq.-cm, which I think translates to the following psi:
Front: 99.6, 99.6, 103.8
Rear: 102.4, 108.1, 106.7
Other details about the car:
1987 TurboII
156+k miles, original engine
gutted pre-cat is the only 'mod' - done about 5000 miles ago
oil changed regularly
coolant changed not quite as regularly
not babied, but not thrashed on, either
Thanks for any input/opinions,
Lionel
