Ahhhhh! 2P. The Relief solenoid valve wire/cable. When the car is warmed up and idling, the voltage should be approx 2volts or less.

If the voltage is NOT less than 2volts....then the TPS is not adjusted properly..OR the water temperature sensor that is located on the bottom of the radiator is disconnected. The problem is most likely the TPS not being adjusted properly.

Warm the car up. Backprobe the GREEN/RED cable at 2G. It should read 1volt. If not, then adjust the TPS screw til the meter reads 1volt at 2G.

THEN ....go back to 2P and see if you have under 2volts. It should read 2volts or less when the engine is at idle.

IF the TPS is putting 1volt on pin 2G AND pin 2P is above 2 volts, let's say it reads 12volts....then a transistor is kaput in the ECU. IT CAN BE FIXED FOR UNDER 2 US dollars.
