Greddy boost guage install (help)

I'm trying to install the greddy boost guage, but I can not figure out where to run the electrical harness. I need to know where I can get to a 12v Power source (+), Ignition Line (+), Parking Light Line (+), and Ground Line (-). The car is a 88TII.

Also is the Pressure sensor (N318) the Fuel Pressure Regulator? I looked in my shop manual and thats what it seems to be, just double checking.

Thanks,
Brian

no...the Pressure Sensor is NOT the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I think you can wire the gauge into the car stereo wiring....splice that **** in with vampire taps...

I didn't think so, but I cannot read Japanese lol. I more looking for a diagram of a sort to show me where the **** needs to go (visual learner here) Thanks for the information none the less.

On the crappy Engrish insturctions that came with it says that I need to connectg the new pressure sensor to the fuel pressure regulator via a three way joint, Where is the fuel pressure regulator?

Thanks again,
Brian

Why the hell would a boost gauge need to be connected to a fuel pressure sensor/regulator?

No...you need to connect the boost gauge to the Pressure Sensor vaccum line using a t-fitting.

That's what I was thinking, but the instructions in came with said fuel pressure regulator, but again the instructions are in Engrish and not English.

So I need to connect the vacum line to the pressure sensore (IE what the RB FCD would hook up to?)

Thanks again,
Brian

You should be looking in the wiring diagrams or using a test light or DMM to find what you need. Anything that has power when the key's off will have a constant (battery power wire), anything thats switches on when you turn the car on will have a switched power wire and anything in the cabin that lights when you turn the headlights on will have an illumination wire. The ground wire can be attached to pretty much any bolt on the chassis.

Boost gauge instructions often suggest teeing into the FPR vac line because on most cars the FPR is easy to identify and access. On FC's the MAP sensor line is better.

Any upper intake manifold vaccum source will work for your boost guage. Make sure you dont wire it to a constant 12v source unless you want it to be illuminated all the time, even when you shut off your car.

Except the three or four nipples that don't have vacuum because they're fed from in front of the throttle...

One of the four wires is supposed to be connected to constant power. The other three are switched power, illumination and ground.

Okay I have hooked up the new boost gauge but I am having some problems.

I put in a t connector on the vac line running from the pressure sensor (N318). The stock boost gauge is still seeing boost, but the aftermarket one is not reading anything. When I turn the car on the stock gauge rises to 0 and the aftermarket one just sits there. The lights and dimmer work for the aftermarket gauge, the only problem is that it isn't seeing boost.

Have I hooked it up to the wrong line or do I have a faulty gauge or is the pressure sensor that came w/ the gauge (electric 52mm Greddy boost gauge)?

Thanks again,
Brian
