" The Great 20b"

is it really possible to swap a 20b for your 13b in your gen 2. and with that said could you make it a twin turbo??? i know it would cost a pretty penny... would it really be worth all the money and work???

i was also looking into that option but the engines themselves can cost around 4 grand by themselves so i didn't think it was worth it...but im sure you could find one for less somewhere if you really wanted to

The conversion runs $35,000 and up if someone else does it for you 600, RWHP at least. People say that it can be done for 10-15K if you do it yourself. The latter option will also take 1-3 years to complete. The first option I would imagine would take 1-2 months. Almost everything is custom made.

Search and much information will be found.

I've done it.
I regret the cost, time and having it blow.
It was fast, but, not worth it.
I'm now V8 powered.

i think 35,000 is alil too much .. wasnt it like around $15,000. i mean for 15,000 you can already buy a r1.

Congrats. Lemme know when that PP motor spools at 3000 rpm, idles, and makes something known as TORQUE.

While a 13B can compare in hp numbers, it needs to give up streetability to do so, and it will NEVER make similar torque numbers.

But lemme guess... you still think that HP is the only value that counts, right?

If you prepped a 20B with a periphereal port, T-100 turbo's, FMIC, wide as **** wheels, etc etc. You would be looking at numbers a lot closer to the positive side of 100 to the wheels.

hehe I'm probably crazy but I'll try and give an honest answer.

No, it is not a good investment, dollarwise. It's an expensive way to buy more horsepower than you'll really ever need in a streetcar.

It also carries with it a lot of baggage - unrealistic hype, because, as you said it yourself, it is "the great 20B". You will have a lot of people just waiting for you to run "only" 11's so they can denouce your project as a giant waste of time and money.

That being said, I still think it's a cool project anyway. Just bring lots of money.
