Got some headers custom made...

Had a custom header and straight pipe put on a few days ago, finally got a chance to take a few pictures of it. Let me know what you all think. It's a 2 inch header to 3 inch mid pipe that bolts up to the stock cat back.

Cost me a whopping 175$ for everything.

Let me know what you think.

I'll take a few more pictures when it stops raining outside...

I'm not the type to do this, but pure brutal honesty here- it's terrible! Crush bends, 3" collector, and shitty welds. You could have done better for 175 dude. The 3" is way too big for your N/A. It's the loss of velocity that makes it lose power. Then, it crams back into the stock y-pipe. Awful design.

Again, I'm sorry for pooping on your mods, but.... eek.

And carbureted? Come on man! There's a reason why cars since the 80's are fuel injected. It's better in every way, but that's another thread for another day.

for that price you could have picked up a much better quality, and tested, header used from one of our many members.

Boo on you!

Eh. It works and it doesnt leak. I think it sounds good, i'll post a video of it tomorrow.

Its better than the pos stock turtle and cats. I can feel the car has more power, I may have gotten more from a better header but this works.

You should wrap you header, it'll cover up how pluh it looks and keep heat in the pipes.

Thats exactly what I was going to do to mine. Once I wrap it, you cant tell it between a racing beat. All the bends match (with the exception of them being crush bends) and are the exact same length.

Exhaust wrap. You can get it from autozone/discount.

I do agree, good job on getting some custom work done. You should, however, chop it at the collector and make the 2 pipes diverge into a 2.5" single, then to the stock y-pipe would work ALOT better.

Make sure you de-rust the header before wrapping. There's also some sort of silicone spray to put on the wrap before putting it on the header. Search on youtube for the DIY network's how-to on this.
