ok any thoughts? i was thinking about trying to fiber glass the hole to make it look like a ftp hole when the lens is removed. angling it up or down you know, butr i dont know how sturdy that would end up being.

Probably patch it up from behind with something and throw some bondo over it and sand it to hell and back.

Bondo and fiberglass would not have the flexibility that bumper has. During a little bump (like not seeing the trash can and bumping into it) Bondo could crack and fiber glass may crack (where you join it to the bumper), I dont know.

fiberglass FTW!
as long as you dont make it way to thick it should bend more than enough.

ya, but use urethane instead of polyester for your resin . The urethane will be more flexible.
You'd just have to sand the back with some 36 grit or something, and clean it well to get a good bond...

Put some blue mesh behind it to match the paint and be happy you have extra flow to the radiator. Or an intercooler, or another oil cooler.

search the term "plastic welding" or "weld plastic" in a google type engine. you will find out that you can take a sheet of plastic, cut it to size, and weld it from behind, then fill the front to make a plastic patch. not sure what these bumpers are made out of though.(mine didn't have any bumpers on it when i got it) but that would be the best way to go.

hope that helps,
TR

Do what Nascar Nextel Cup cars do when they hit a the wall at 190 mph, use 100mph duct tape. If you have some plastic form your own patch.
