got an s5 bumper that someone cut a hole in, what to do with it? pics!
ok any thoughts? i was thinking about trying to fiber glass the hole to make it look like a ftp hole when the lens is removed. angling it up or down you know, butr i dont know how sturdy that would end up being.

Probably patch it up from behind with something and throw some bondo over it and sand it to hell and back.

Looks like a cellica...

Bondo and fiberglass would not have the flexibility that bumper has. During a little bump (like not seeing the trash can and bumping into it) Bondo could crack and fiber glass may crack (where you join it to the bumper), I dont know.

fiberglass FTW!
as long as you dont make it way to thick it should bend more than enough. |
Or you could get a car bra...

+1 for cheap replacement
|
go to the classifieds and buy a different one

PFFT. You could be JDM and put a screen there, to make it look tough. Be all ram air like. That'd be tyte.
|
Put an intercooler behind it... problem solved!
|
Put some blue mesh behind it to match the paint and be happy you have extra flow to the radiator. Or an intercooler, or another oil cooler.

huge front mount, or duct tape

Do you know the person who you bought it from? I'm curious what possesed them to cut a hole right there. Any idea?
|
put one HUGE foglight there.
|
I think he went a little overboard with the license plate frame...
|
you could always try to run your intake there and have a bad ass cold air intake box. the only prob would be if you sucked in a bird lol
|
That's what the mesh screen is for. Chicken-catcher. :)

search the term "plastic welding" or "weld plastic" in a google type engine. you will find out that you can take a sheet of plastic, cut it to size, and weld it from behind, then fill the front to make a plastic patch. not sure what these bumpers are made out of though.(mine didn't have any bumpers on it when i got it) but that would be the best way to go.
hope that helps, TR |

Do what Nascar Nextel Cup cars do when they hit a the wall at 190 mph, use 100mph duct tape. If you have some plastic form your own patch.
|
stick a dead baby in there.
