how hard was it removing the old stock exhaust manifold? i wanna ditch my RB downpipe and get new headers, but scared of breaking a bolt/stripping or something like that while removing the stock manifold. i know the bottom two bolts can be taken off while under the car. are the top two as easy?

^ its easy. i did mine. the only hard part for me was doing it with 2 jack stands and a floor jack(i want a lift). and i started it and drove aroud the block with just the header. its insanely loud. my dad was trying to yell at me over the 3krpm warm up about it being to loud. i just saw lips moving.

you have to take off the heat shield to make it easy to get the top 2.

no you have to take off the heat shield to get to the bottom two..... it wont be hard for you as it was for me because apparently some *** who worked on the car before me welded the factory exhaust together instead of bolting it back on so i had to drop the whole exhaust so i could slide the headers out instead of take off the cat pipes..... other than that it wasnt hard at all... i was very surprised how easy the bolts came off without any lubricant.... and yes its ungodly loud... ive made 3 vids so far... one just cranking it and around the block, the second just driving around no more than 3.5k rpms and finally just now one that goes all out... omg its crazy sounding... ill host them later on today in a seperate thread
