Got my Centerforce Clutch. No alignment tool.

so what am i supposed to do then? i really dont see how im supposed to align this without one. i see mazdatrix sells them but, damnit i really dont want to have to buy one.

im thinking about using a spare input shaft from an old tranmission at this point.

you could probably go to a parts store and borrow one...i think i have one you could borrow but im in columbus. you could probably but one for cheap also

not a bad idea. ill have to take the disk up there to make sure i have the right spline count.

Local parts store should carry them if you have one nearby, and they are quite inexpensive. Give them a call first.
You really don't need one as you can eyeball and center it by using a light and a screwdriver to move the disc around so as the pilot bearing is in the center of the hub. The "tool" however makes the job easier.

Autozone or Advanced Auto has them. Think their like $6 or something cheap like that. I've bought both N/A and TII tools there, so they should have what you need.

u should'nt need one its not that hard.. btw u can use a broom stick handle too they work just as well

I bought mine from a parts store, it still won't bring you to 100% alignment, which is why I use the 1st gear-drive shaft method.

you can use 2 sockets..one that fits the splines of the clutch and another that fits the pilot bearing. use them in the same way and maybe eyball a bit when tightening down the cover

I found a deep sock that fit into the splines. No problem.

Mine didnt come with one either, so I tapped a 10mm socket into the end of a peice of copper pipe, it worked like a charm.
