will this REALLY wear out the tires? like if tires had 10,000 miles left in it, how much would the camber take out average, with moderate hard driving? should i invest in camber plates right away? how about the rear?

Ehh i would check ride height and air pressure first before doing any thing. I would also check wear out bushing or bend suspension. This is a stupid question but did you release the hand brake and bounce on the car a few times before taking the mesurment? Also is the tires wearing out evenly? I mean did you do a one wheel burn out and take out alot of rubber on one tire?

Is your car pulling right now? Damn that 4 degrees difference on the rear camber is bad.... I don't know enough about the 7's rear suspension yet to know what is causing this problem but i would deffinly check the air pressure since that can cause incorrect readings. I hope someone else can answer that question....... Well just for your info there is a camber kit for the rear end but that would change the camber of both wheels at once so i don't think i would help much. But it might be enought to reduce the tire wear on the left side.

yah, i'll check the air pressure, i did just put these tires on, maybe i mixed tires, one of them should be in the front maybe. but since the alignment is done, do u think evening out the tire pressure will ruin it more?

The front camber can be adjusted by removing the upper strut mounts and rotating them for the minimum amount of camber. They are not concentric (sp?) so the camber changes as you rotate them.
To change the rear, you have to buy an adjustable camber link and install it by the differential. They are available at most "7" stores. I got mine at mazdatrix but they are everywhere. There are two kinds and with one of them you have to remove it to adjust it. The other has a jam nut and can be adjusted on the car.

what is the second kind of camber link called? and how do i rotate the upper strut mounts? does this require taking off the spring and rotating the strut.......? i'm not too good in mechanics, but i can learn...

I am trained alignment tech and do them at work, and must say your reading are pretty out.

did they check the suspension for worn parts or wheel bearings? did the shop adjust your toe or just get a "baseline"? do you have mismatched tire sizes on car? make sure tire pressures are even. the toe can be adjusted easily front and rear

the things you need to correct are the caster split in front (1.5 degrees), front camber split(.5degree) and camber split in rear (4 degrees!).

my guess is that whoever put lowering springs on messed up the strut reference position in front. can get it better by rotating the RF strut 1/4 turn at time. this will adjust both caster and camber in front. your alignment shop should know how to do this, or else its time for new alignment shop, not easy to explain over internet

as for rear camber, they may be able to adjust it by messing w/ strut strut bolts and prying, otherwise might need the links from mazdatrix.

omg! hahahahaha sorry everyone!!! i mean

rear:
left -2.1 camber right -2.0 camber.

i cant do the strut rotating myself? and if the tires are inflated off balance of each other, can this correct the problem if its actually off?

I don't think the strut adjustment will fix the rear camber but maybe. The camber link will fix it. As for turning the strut, you should be ok as long as YOU DON'T REMOVE THE BIG NUT IT THE UPPER CENTER OF THE STRUT MOUNT!!! Any alignment shop that does struts should be able to rotate this with no problems.

if its not so hard then why did they say it will take 1 - 3 hours to rotate the struts?

I'm a little confused.
Was this what they set it at when you paid them for an alignment?
If that's the case, you probably should go someplace else.
They either don't know how or don't care to set the car up right. If that's as good as the car can get, they should be looking for why and then recomend parts to fix it.

well yah, thas as far as they can get.... they recommended me to come back and get the struts rotated for the front, and that i should get some plates for the rear. but i want to get a rear link, are those capable of adjusting up to -1.5 camber less? because i only want -.5 camber on the rear.
