Atkins seems to be one of the more common choices.. I hear good things about them. I say go for it.

Just search "atkins" in the search bar, and I bet you'll find a bunch of reviews, proc & cons etc..

if you are using the same housings, and same apex seals and side seals, thats a good kit to use.
If you get new apex seals on the same housing, it will need time to break in to get a good seal on the housing which depending on the apex seals will take 500-2000 miles.

Many of atkins stuff is OEM so its good.

There is a thread on here by either Arron Cake or RotaryEvolution that talks all about the parts needed for a rebuild, and I believe this kit (or one very similar) is mentioned in the thread. Sorry I don't remember the name of it exactly, but I'm sure you can search for it. Or it might be in the archives... I don't remember

people misspelled Karack all the time also, i'm sure it will be worse now.

and the thread is in the archives, look back about 7 years as it's been a while since i made that thread. some things will vary slightly since it is so old and there are now many more manufacturers for apex seals and soft seal kits. i believe i relied heavily on a Mazdatrix parts list, they are more expensive than Atkins is but slightly cheaper than most mazda dealerships. rotary aviation also has mostly complete kits but some of their parts are simply too cheap or not reliable for daily driven vehicles(FEP coolant seals delaminate after several years of heat cycling) but i haven't heard many bad stories about their apex seals.

i will also be planning on putting together kits in the not so distant future. i was never thoroughly impressed by the OEM coolant seals.

i'm personally moving in a certain direction but i will be working on more diverse kits for those who want variety. right now i keep about a dozen sets of these on hand:

https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-pr.../#post11208513

the coolant seals i make up about 12 kits at a time and go through that in about 2 months.

i already went through that batch from 2 months ago and made another but they are designed to be used with the seal savers, i will put together some material for the inners without the sleeve but it won't be a squared off material as it isn't available in metric sizes. with round seals you will lose about 15% surface traction over squared but that is still about 20% more than OEM's offer.

also have the other internal seals in viton as well.
