i want to know what u guys think is good price for a jspec motor wit no harness or ecu just motor and tranny.

i went to local engine place and they where asking for 1650 and then i asked for ecu and harness they said in total itll be 1950 plus i was gonna use credit card so there was hole bunch sales tax.

then i called another engine place they also said 1650 for motor and trans

does that sound about rite for u guys? o plus no warrantee

 

there are places you can buy a jspec motor for a bit cheeper and with a warranty try rotaryshack owners name is robert hes really good with getting great jspec motors and hell probably give you some type of warranty

did u go ovr to jdm exchange in philly?? thats the only place i would buy a jspec motor due to past experiences. They are always priced a little higher than everywhere else but its well worth it. and usually they have the matching ecu in the office. but if u do end up buying it i can sell u the matching ecu for dirt cheap

 

do u have there number or a site i can reah em at need a motor asap looking for legit places

 

I've been researching places for about the last month...I came up with rotaryshack.com...I spoke with him (Robert) and he seems to be honest and he knows alot ... He willl compression test the engine and he also does other test to make sure that the engines he sells won't need a rebuild a month later!!!! I'm waiting for me motor now I'll Keep you posted...Also do a search here to find out more about him...search www.rotaryshack.com...He has his own feed back threat on poeple who bought from him....

HAHA, i learned my lesson with the whole canada jdm engine thing, i might as well just bought a blown t2 motor and paid for the rebuild. They did a compression test and it was great, but they somehow didnt notice the pretty oil and coolent mixture. The place you wanna go is jdm exchange right over the betsy ross bridge, i think the aramingo exit?? They have a 30 day startup warranty and really do honor it. I have two buddies that bought motors from there and have had no problem. They had a 13bt anf 5 spd trans a while ago for 1495 and i wish i would have spent the xtra money and bought that thing.

They actually changed their name due to one of the guys leaving so their website is http://www.elitejdm.com/. same guys tho and they have some sick *** cars down there.

 

no rotaryshack is located in cali and they have great prices i see 1991vert purchased one roberts really great go through him you'll probably pay extra for shipping but hes good . let us know

 

Ya get one from cali, why would ya want to actually inspect the motor and trans in person??

 

just saying i had a great buying experience but hey if you found a place thats close to you were you can check the motor and tranny out thats good too either way good luck in your swap let us know how it turns out .

got my motor and a one month warranty pretty good guys they can also get whole cars saw wat they sold um red 3rd gen for 8000 and 1rst gen 12a turbo for 4000 and many more
