Some of them come with install kits for our cars that goes inline with the line to the TMIC. Some just come with a universal weld on flange. You'll pay more for the ones specifc to your car. I've heard clips of all of them and they sounds similar to me, nothing distictive about any of them.
HKS SSQV seems to be a favorite according to a poll I saw on the forum a few days ago. Honestly I just got done doing a bunch of research and I don't see any benifit to HKS GReddy or Apex'i. Whichever is cheaper will be the one I go for.

best bov out there is the greddy type s.. runs for about 175 with flange, or 220+ for the kit..... If you want to go with a budget, get the dsm bov and a flange and youre set..... the type s was modled after the dsm bov, which is why it looks and sounds identical....

i bought the one off ebay, the stage II aluminum one, and it works great. so far im very happy with the results. it literally took 5 mins to install the thing, others on the forum have purchased the zerotek bov and have instructions, so if you do a search on ebay bov or cheap bov, you can find it
i see a lot on ebay for close to $50 bucks. (just in my price range at the moment) Im not looking for anything too special just something I can use with my stock turbo...maybe adaptable for about 13-15psi...
I'm looking into installing a custom TID an I need a BOV to keep things in the ok.
I have an autometer gauge which reads upto 35+ psi.. the guy who ordered it decided to change the one I picked out because it was $80 above what I payed him instead of seeing if I wanted to pay the diff...

Due to personal experience I'd shy away from a used Blitz BOV... (the Super Sound I believe) we've found some issues with them sticking and not blowing off and causing compressor surge.
I have a Tomei BOV from a R32 Skyline on mine, and I absolutely love the sound of it. It has nice deep whoosh sound to it, without the whistles that the other ones have. Image an TurboXS RFL with the bass boost cranked and you'll get an idea of the sound. However the Tomei ones are very rare, and we had to custom fabricate a flange for it. One negative of having such a rare BOV is that if the rubber diaphram or another part goes bad, then it will be next to impossible to get a replacement.
Just keep your eyes open, I see FC I/C pipes with BOV's that are a drop in swap on Ebay all the time. That is your best bet, and with the relative rarity of TII's you shouldn't have a lot of competition anymore.

i bought the Blitz DD (2nd gen of the blitz) form a kid down the street and put it right on my old flnage (it fits perfectly on the old flange) and now im happy with this one.
the Dual Drive BOV has only one piston but 2 ports to realse the air depending on how high up the piston travels
its not as loud as the old SS one and doesnt have that annoying whistle that alot of BOV have now. just a nice short WOOOSH letting me know its working well and fast
thats what im looking for nothing too loud just a nice reminder when its working!
how is this one?

I have had a good bit of exerience with BOVs. I have been through 6 on my DSM. I have used the 1st Gen DSM, Greddy S, Greddy R, HKS SSQV, TurboXS RFL, and I now use the Tial 50mm. The only two that worked properly, are the Tial and the 1st Gen DSM. All the others worked like crap. The problem is that cars are different. Different to the extent that Supras love HKS SSQVs. But on my car, the SSQV was a piece!
I would love to do some testing with the Forge units. They are very similar to the Tial, and much cheaper. The FMD004 for $130 and the tuning kit for $15 seems like you cant go wrong. The other thing I like, is the fact that you can order EVERY internal part for the valve itself. So if you rip the diaphram, no problem, its like 5 bucks. The site is www.forgemotorsport.com for those that dont know.
Overall, many valves work. Just find one you like and try it. It may be costly, but I like trying things for myself, rather than listen to the crowd. At the very least, you will have done some thinking, rather than be a mindless drone. And you never know. You might be surprised to learn that something everyone said wouldnt work, DOES. It's happened to me.
