Pray. Seriously, my new engine wouldn't start the first time. It turned out one of the injectors went bad somehow and I had to take my car to the Mazda dealership to find out. I have seen other people who had problems getting their engine started the first time. So good luck to you, hopefully you wont have any problems.

Be very careful, that skinny pedal on the right tends to get heavy after sitting for a long time!! Just change the oil every 2k miles, plugs every 8-10k. Don't dog her when cold, and make sure you break her in properly!!! Have Fun!!!!!!!

Check , Check and tripple check all electrical connections before turning her over for first time So far on all of my rebuilds I was able to start it up with starter motor, But you may need to push start her... If all looks good when you get it started.. Just let it idle (~1k) for about 45 mins... keep eye on guages, and look for any leaks.. I had oil spraying all over one time hehe... and enjoy

i too had the injector problem with mine when i got a rebuild, i had to take them a shop place to get them cleaned out, but other than that, she started up an ran fine and that was 4k miles ago....... check your oil frequently because they infamously burn that quart every 1500 miles...........
