Glowing turbo?

Glowing turbo?

just light highway cruising, 60-75MPH, after like a 30 minute drive, I'll pop the hood at ngiht and the turbo is glowing RED hot... what's wrong here?

nothing mine does the same. Might want to take a look at the timing just to be safe. But yes all our turbos do this.

if i am not mistaking, a red hot glowing turbo like the pic below is caused by lack of oil in the turbo. or am i wrong. i've seen a video of a 911 TT on a dyno and when he was in 3rd topping out the turbo's got red hot but as soon as he let off the turbo's were not red anymore.

nm the pic is to big. ill resize it and post it later, time to get back to work. lunch is over

Check the timing, after just cruising it shouldn't be glowing.
