Glowing spark plugs...
So i went to jumpstart my buddys jeep the other night. while we had the cable hooked up, i grabbed the throttle and revved it a couple of times. just small revs. i noticed out of the corner of my eye, that when i gave it just a quick tap on the throttle, i could see the porcelin part of the plugs glow and then dim. I was wondering if this is normal or not? still new to the rotary thing.

Was the jeep diesel? I am not well educated on diesels but i do know that a diesel uses glow plugs to ignite the fuel. I am not sure if you can actually see the plugs glowing but it would not surprise me the least bit if you could.
So don`t worry this has not effect on what you know about rotaries since...
Well Jeeps are not rotaries hahaha.
I am sure if you Google or wiki "Glow Plugs" it will tell you if you can actually see them glowing from just looking at the engine.

i cant remember the brand off hand, but i did the plugs and the wires at the same time. im just not sure if its a bad thing or not to see the plugs glow a bit when i tap the throttle. when i noticed this, i had just gotten off the highway if that has anything to do with it

i am experiencing the same exact problem on my ride with rear rotor. when i rev up, the car sort of hesitates and the spark plugs glow. I will replace all wires and those two spark plugs tomorrow and let you know if it fixes the problem.
