Sounds horrible. Sounds exactly like the bad bearing in my alternator that I hear every day. Except mine doesn't pulse like that one does.
Why does everyone think that sounds nice?

now I have a question, is it really the belt making that noise or is the alt bearings taking a dump since the down load from the tension of the belt is further out...

jesus... why? cant you get a serpentine kit for less, and have it be tons more quiet. I dont see needing that much belt. Im sure its not nearly as loud with the hood down, but still... Im not paying that much for pulleys that arent needed. They look pretty cool though, Ill give them that much

to each there own, i personally like the sound. not convinced its necessary though. i could make my belts not slip for much less than the cost of that setup

http://www.xtremerotaries.com/ These guys sell the kit for a lot cheaper. And make damn good products. Personally I don't mind the sound. Hell with a complete exhaust (no cats) and the hood closed I bet you can hardly hear that thing. Maybe at constant highway speeds it might get annoying. But I'm still considering getting one. Not the ebay one.

I remember a HotRod magazine article(probably 20 years ago) on the whine sound from blower belts on the 6-71's. The whistle is from the air getting trapped by the tooth/groove on the pulleys. You can quiet it down a bit by drilling a small hole in the middle of each valley of the pulleys.
Other than that looks like a solution to not much of a problem. Plenty of other cheaper and quieter ways to fix belt slippage.

I have injector envy!
I would run it if I lost 5-10hp. Its sound amazing and sound is a big part of a driving experience. My car is just a weekend car so my opinion is different than the dail drivers out there.
I am getting one as soon as I finish tuning my big turbo!!!!!!
BTW can you still run the stock fan with this?
