getting past customs, USA -> CDN??

this is 2nd gen specific cuz i own one & am buying something from the states for it :
-------------------------------

a friend of mine was told by a UPS man that if you do express mail (2 day or less) you can get past customs when ordering from the states.

Jason @ rx7store.net said you can get past customs but will still be tagged with customs charges.

So do I spend the extra money on express mail in HOPES to slip past customs, or go normal mail & get tagged?

also, how much do they get you for? 13%?

why didn't you post this in the canada section??

unless the item is under like $30 you will pay gst, pst, and brokerage
DO NOT USE UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they will rape you in brokerage fees.

Use USPS.

the last 4 times I didn't pay anything with USPS.... not sure why. but not complaning
