Getting engine back together, help me identify this plug/wire

Ok so I just put my engine back in and am trying to get all the plugs back where they need to be. All the other plugs are already in and done and this one was left with nothing it matches to and I cannot remember for the life of me what it is for. It is a blade connector that is connected to a black box on the bell housing, looks like a ground maybe? I am thinking it is either a ground for ac or ps since I don't have those anymore, but am really not sure. Please help me identify this. First pic shows the connector, 2nd shows the black box where it goes to.

Thx in advance for any help.

There should be a similar female connector sticking out of the oil sender wiring harness down there to hook that up to...

So does that mean it's this one that is hooked up incorrectly?

If so does that mean the male connector plugged into it is left unplugged?

Yellow/red is your oil sender wiring color, that section in question branches off to the capacitor that's bolted to the slave cylinder. So it sure looks like you got something weird hooked up there in that last pic. What is the color of the wiring on the other side of that plug? Looks like black/red, which may have gone to your oil thermo switch, which probably isn't there anymore, right?

Yes it is black/red, and I'm not sure if I have the oil thermo switch anymore? When would it have come out or why would it have been removed? I'll hook the yellow/red up to the other plug, I couldn't figure out which plug went to which, so I just guessed. Thanks for your help.

Oil thermo switch is down on the oil pan, left side, the forward one of the two (the other being the oil level sensor), IIRC. It may or may not still be there...

In any case, you don't need it, unless you're running with the sub-zero starting system still on the car for some reason...

When you get her hooked up right, you should have yellow/red wires on each side of the plug. Especially in that area, sometimes you gotta clean up the wiring a bit to see any colors, lol...

Oh ok, yah I have the sub-zero removed by mazda, so they probably put the oil pan on that no longer has that connection, since I only have one. Thanks a bunch Wayne, car will be starting up shortly I can't wait
