gauge replacement

gauge replacement

I drive a 91 na and I just ordered some corksport gauges. Im a retard when it comes to cars. What would be the easiest/proper way to change them? Please help me if you can, and maybe some step by step instructions? Thanks

forgot to mention, they are the ones that are supposed to slide right in place. Its sounds wasy, but I dont want to break something trying to take my dash apart.

the hardest thing is puting the speed-o cable back. its not all that hard.

Just be very very careful with the needles, they break like you wouldnt beleive. Other than that, its prety easy.

my gauges and benzle are gona be here soon to from corksport!

how do ya do the benzle? can u seperate the glasss"plactic" from the black gaughe holder?

1. You remove guage cluster
2. disconnect the wires and speedo cable (have to have patience with the speedo cable)
3. once you have the gauge cluster out. unscrew the gauge cluster from the pastic trim.
4. install the guages carefully do not put to much stress on the needels.
5. put it back in reverse order.

I will take pictures once at home and post them on here step by step if you would like.

I painted my needels red before I did step 4.
Once I put the pics up it will easier for to show step by step.
I would be much help on the benzel since I have not done this to mine yet.

PICTURES! Yeah, step by step pics would be REALLY helpfull. And good thinking with painting the needles red, I just might have to do that myself.
