Gauge reads no oil pressure...searched

ok, I just replaced all the hoses that coolant moves through, and now my oil prossure gauge gives no reading. The car was running fine when I noticed it, but just to be safe she's parked untill I can figure this out. My oil level is low, but not out of range according to the dipstick, and the idiot light is off. I'm a noob mechanic, so when I put my air intake back on when putting everything back together I forgot to reconnect the wires to the air filter (that would be the mass airflow sensor right?) and She ran like carp sputtering and not idling right. I shut her off and connected the wiring properly, and then she ran great. that was yesterday. My real question is could I have diconnected something? If so where should I look for it? This is so frustrating.....

look at the wiring on the silver canister-looking thingy below the oil filter...if you knocked off a wire or connector, it'll probably be there...

That silver cannister lookin thing is probably greasy black on your car (and mine) but it is about as big as a small babyfood jas and has a flat disk on the end where a clip is supposed to slide on... if there isn't anything connected to it.. look around, its a green plug, one side has a slot in it where it slides over the disk on the pressure sending unit

Sounds like you knocked the wire off the oil pressure sensor while replacing the heater hose. Clean it up and clip it securely back on.

and Mazdatrix has a note on their site where I bought replacement hoses, that this particular hose is prone to oil contamination failure...So I'd say lots of people...I also titled this thread for what I was looking for when I searched, so it will be easier for whoever gets this next to find...

its a red wire with a yellow stripe i believe btw. Runs parrelellel with a a capacitator to keep the sensor from frying. You'll probably see a total of three red/yellow wires.

Well the diagram that NZConvertible posted made a would of diffrence. After I re-attached the oil pressure gauge sender, the water temp one failed, and the diagram helped me find it to clean it. She's running great now guys, thanks again!
