Hey everyone, I am having a problem with my gauge cluster lights not turning on / functioning at all. The idiot clusters lights work along with the clock, the cigarette lighter ring light works, keyhole ignition light works, and so does the glove box light. Every other light on the car works except the gauge lights. The one thing that does not work because it is not in the car right now is the climate controls. The box and wiring harness from it was taken out and I had to find a replacement that I am now waiting on. My question is would not having the climate controls (aircon box) and it's harness in the car stop the gauge cluster lights from working? If not any other ideas? I hope I could get a few answers as I am still waiting on the control box to arrive. Thanks!!

It's likely a poor connection at the gauge cluster related to the Red/Green wire which powers the lights (found in connector ME-01).

Might also want to check the connector at the light switch and make sure it hasn't melted.

If it is still in reasonable shape, do the relay mod on the light switch.
