gaskets, seals, or bearings for 5spd swap

i am going to be getting all the parts needed for the 5spd swap but was wondering what else i should replace while i got the transmission out. the 5spd gearbox was just rebuilt so no parts needed there.

if i cant get an impact wrench then should i just make flywheel stopper to remove it.

and what other specialty tools should i look into, i already know about the 54mm / 2 1/8 socket and big breaker bar.

thanks
bryan

Some people get confused on the automatic drive plates counterweight. The drive plate is bolted to the weight. The big bolt holds the weight to the shaft. Don't be surprised if the weight doesn't come off when the nut comes off. You'll have to take off the little bolts, take the drive plate off, and probably use a gear puller to pull the weight off. You buy them pretty cheap and rent them for even cheaper.

so after i get the flexplate off i pull the counterweight off. the flywheel for the 5spd then has a counterweight already attached to it? right?

Yep you are correct, i had a hard time getting the counter weight off, but after a hour or so it came off.
