Alt. or Batt.???

My voltage is low around 10 with ignition off (make me think batt.) But at idle i still have voltage problems, i'm guessing that its the battery and that the stock alt can't compensate for the bad bat at low rpm due to the fact that the stock alt is rated around 70 amps i believe. Am I right, wrong or totally off??

get a new battery that you know is good, then if the problem persists get a new alternator. I higlhly reccomend a S6 alternator, Pm silverrotor if you are interested, i think he still has them for sale. I have one i get 14+ volts all the time

go to autozone and get a free battery test. that way you will know if its the battery before you buy another, but yeah the 3rd gen alt. are a great low cost upgrade
