Did you PLUG IN the O2 sensor? That'd cause some horrendous gas mileage

Try doing a full tuneup?

You are getting 13-15, in a rotary masterpiece? **** dude , I'll trade you. Driving like these grandmother vehicles should be driven, I'm lucky to get 10 mpg at 110 mph. Keep up the great gas mileage. Give me some hope!

my car is more worse than yours ,I only run about 95 miles per tank .
I don't care about the gas price , because compare to Asia or Europe , our gas price
is way cheaper.
I think you should try to replace the fuel filter

Driving super agressively in my well tuned 'vert nets me 19MPG.

So I'll say something is wrong.

I reccomend checking your engine for codes

Then check your TPS, O2 sensor, alignment, air in the tires, leaky injectors/bad FPR, make sure your brakes arent dragging, and that your wheel bearings are healthy.

I only get around 18 mpg in mine and it is almost perfectly stock, S4

If you aren't liking the low gas mileage, buy a 4-banger

New plugs and wires as well as making sure your timing is on.....fuel filter may help too

I get 19 mpg with a few mods. Try sending your injectors in to get cleaned and try not to bog the motor down. I'm getting ready for a 1700 mile drive in the ol' 7 so I'm actually pretty happy with my mileage.

I get about 200 miles before the fuel light comes on. But I use about a quart of oil every 400 miles- time for a rebuild ):

Check your IAT and water temp sensor at the neck of the filler. This link should show you where. http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory...ual/1986_1988/
Just look under emissions and the cooling sections. These items are often overlooked when doing a typical tuneup but could definitely affect your ecu's inputs and consequently your mileage too. They're definitely old enough to have gone bad otherwise I don't see why you couldn't get 18-20mpg if you're not modded out. Warmer plugs can gain you a little bit too but tend to wear out faster.

the easiest way to fix your gas problem with your rotory engine i've seen is to buy a honda insight. they get amazing gas mileage haha. or do what i do and pretend it gets good gas mileage even though i know it doesnt.

don't forget to check your ignition timing either. That would drastically affect your mileage too if it was retarded.

I'm in Tofuball's area. If I'm really nice to my car (highway), I'll see 25 or a bit more, if I'm normal driving, I see about 20-22, and then about 18-19 on a tank with one autocross on it.

Biggest thing I did? Megasquirt. I have my reasons to believe that Tofuball MAY have done the same...

That's not too bad, my TII gets 20L/100KM city and 11L/100km highway.
That's about 11 mpg and 20 mpg respectivly.

and right now gas is $1.03 per litre... That's about 3.89 a gallon. And that's for 87 Octane! I won't tell you what 94 costs...
