I have fixed Gas gauge problems before, by removing the dash cluster, and cleaning all the electrical contacts. Fixed my fuel gauge!

that cluster should be EASY to remove. Just remember to put your hand behind and unhook the speedo cable. Like I said, that cleared up ALOT of problems for me.

Cold there?... It was freezing here, 70 degrees today. Froze my *** off...

IT very well could be in the gas tank. But like I said, I solved mine by cleaning the contacts.

Check the thread below. Same problem is discussed and the fix is pretty simple. Have the same problem myself.

well i guess the way the pump was set up was very rigged..so when i was putting some stuff in the side i hit it and the wires came out (problem with the starting) and i guess my fuel gauge was right. i opened the tank because i thought there was no way in hell it could be that full. but it was. i dont know how. it seems like a ran alot more gas out of it than that. oh well it works im not complaining.
