sometimes it will go up to about half way, most of the time on E, any ideas on whats wrong? help appreciated thanks guys



i think its either the fuel sensor or a burnt plug on the harness, id rather hear other peoples inputs before i pull anything out.

 

My problem was I would read 2/3 and up fine, then it would just read empty. I pulled the level sensor off, then the small cover and noticed the "coil" the sensor arm runs across was completely falling apart. Time for a replacement You can also test it with a multimeter (check resistance) and see if you get full readings all the way across.

 

Time to replace the fuel sending unit or replace entire fuel pump assembly

 

Mine did the same thing when I got mine replace the fuel sending unit like RX7addict said and that should take care of your problem, it did for mine...
