Gas in engine oil

Hi guys,
I try to use to the search function, I couldnt find any answers.

anyway,
I have a 86' S4, stock, other then a Walbro fuel pump and unknown secondary injectors. It was replaced by the previous owner.

After I replaced the walbro fuel pump the engine floods on me once, it would not start.

I did a cut off switch on the pump, so i dont flood it when i turn it off, i will turn off the pump first before the engine.

I checked on the engine oil earlier and I smell gas, oil is really thin, very low viscosity.
It's running a Mobil High mileage 15W-30 oil.

any idea?

Thanks

Your walbro is causing your car to flood. It produces too much pressure, so your motor floods.

You may also have incorrect injectors, but that will not affect your starting. You should go back to a S4 N/A fuel pump.

Your 15W-30 is also too thin to start with. You should use a 20W-50 except in cold weather.

Send an oil sample to a lab like Blackstone Labs to find out just how much fuel is in the oil if you're concerned. Most cars will have a little fuel in the oil due to blow-by, but the rotary engine seems to be a little more prone to that as JJ said.

I have a parts car some where, just need time to work on it,
but I just spend 80bucks on a new Walbro fuel pump, do you think if I get the proper injectors will it be okay?

I am concerned that if I replace the engine oil, will I ruin the new oil too, I don't drive much, city commute 15miles daily, but revved it up pretty high weekly.
it's a weekend autoX car.

If your running an NA car you don't want to run the walbro fuel pump due to its extremely high pressure it will put to the injectors. This could cause it to leak when it is just sitting in the drive after a normal driving session, especially if the injectors are not in great shape. I would also recommend changing it back to the original fuel pump, that pump is plenty for almost any car that is NA.

You only need things like Walbro pumps and upgraded injectors on modded turbo cars.

The fuel stink in the oil is rather normal. Make sure the car doesn't flood out, check the condition of the purge system. If the car is running well and the oil doesn't thin out or increase in level, then you are probably fine.
