gas cap/hatch release switch.

anyone have problems with these? My hatch release doesn't wanna work anymore. And my gas door release is nearly impossible to use. It works but it hard to pull. I feel like I'm about to break my finger when trying to pull it up.

Anything I can do to fix this?

Get one of those hand exercisers. You know the ones w/ the seperate springs for each finger. That should strengthen up those little piggies pretty good.

Summon the Masters of the Universe to open it up. He-Man should do nicely.

mine is similar, the gas is hard to open, but the hatch works fine. However, the problem is much worse when seated than when standing. When seated, the shitty plastic thing under the seat bottom side bolster gets pushed down on top of the levers...

Is the gas cap hard to open from the emergency release inside the hatch area?

If it is there as well as the cable then the little rod there in the back needs to be cleaned and lubed.

If its only tough from the cable release in the front, then its more than likely the cable is gummed up OR has been pinched or bent at more than a 3 inch radius curve somewhere.

Like Icemark said, I hit the gas lid release switch with some WD-40 and it started working correctly. I also cleaned the button-like switch, that holds the fuel door.

Yay, I'm finally going to fix my fuel door tomarrow

Any idea on how to get the hatch working again? It was working great until it got real cold. Then it just stopped.
