Gas.

Whats up here.
I apparently have a 16.6 gallon tank.
Exactly at the 1/4 mark, I still have 6.6 gallons left in the tank, yet I have yet to ever run out of gas.

Where is this 6.6gallons hiding? LOL.
I can only seem to fit 12-10 gallons in it when it reaches the 1/4 or just below mark. Mabey I just dont understand the fuel meter yet, but how safe is it to drive until the low fuel light comes on??

Also Im getting shitty gas miliage, like 200 miles per tank. City and mostly highway driving. (I dont usualy let it go past the 1/8th tank mark.)

How can I improve this?

if it's like mine, there's almost half a tank left when the gage gets to 1/4...gotta presume the system was designed that way, intentional or not

Welcome to the club, I had a vaccuum leak one time, and got a whole 12.3 MPG for about two tanks until I noticed it.

that's what I was refering to, clogged cat, especially if it's still the stock system...you should have noticed a gradual decrease in power if it's clogging...ACV won't have much to do with it....

what if the car just all of the sudden lost power? my first gear wont go hardly at all, second will some, and third will sorta get to regular at about 3000 RPM but 4th and 5th seem to have lost almost all of their power

i actually ran til my car sputtered from running outa gas. Gas station was around the corner so i coasted in. Filled up completely and it was about 15.9 gallons. So i guess it's KINDA accurate.

Woah thats wierd. The gas gauge on my 87 N/A is screwy too...but the opposite of yours. At 1/4 tank there should be about 4 gallons left, but in reality its more like 2 gallons.
