I had one for awhile. It was pretty acurate surprisingly. I did a 0-60 in 5.2 once with shitty nitto tires.

Thumbs up

I second that, I blew my engines TWICE while using one of those!!!

But its deadly accurate. The only reason I blew my engine twice was that I ran full boost trying to impress friends with WICKED 0-60 & 1/4 mile times @ 15psi boost...but now I know better!

I used it on the TRACK while going down the 1/4 mile. It was almost dead on to what my TIMESLIP read for the 1/4 mile time, just .02 secs off!!! But quite off on the MPH, about 5MPH off. Definitely a great tool to have, to know whether a mod is making a positive or negative difference. For 0-60mph and 1/4 mile, its deadly accurate. People sometimes think its inaccurate, just because they never test their ca ron the SAME STRETCH of road...cause every road is different, one might have an incline and another a decline...bumps, etc. As long as you test on the same completely FLAT road, you'll get consistant & accurate results. Just like you would do at the track, use the same stretch of road. For the G-force rating and HP calculation, its hopeless! I wouldn't TRUST it that much.

I used one, it was right on except the mph was a little high by 4 or 5 at the end....

How much does doing your run going up hill effect things.I just tried mine out today for the first time but my runs started at the bottom of a hill where it was level.I know a place that I'll try again at which I think is level for a1/4mi. 'cause I think my car should be faster than my results which were 0-60=7.6 sec. 1/4mi.= 16.4 sec. at 92mph.Also these were done with a soft launch at about 3000 to 3500rpm.I know my launches weren't very good and I think I was actually letting off before the 1/4 was up because I didn't feel real comfortable with those speeds on this road by my house.Oh well, I hope for better results with good launches at a better location.

Climb a mountain and let me know if you can go faster uphill or downhill.

My G-Tech works fine. If you want to check its accuracy, then just take it along with you to the drag strip and compare it to your timeslip.

Hehehe, I would blame those blown engines on a G-Tech about as much as I would blame them on the paintjob.

Yeah that was kinda my thought as well.I'll have to do some runs at a level spot.I was really just playing around today.Figuring out how to use it and stuff.

G-Techs tend to be about 1 tenth slow on the ET and about 3-4 mph high on the mph. The high mph is becuase the dragstrip averages your time through the last 60ft or so (you'll see the box right before the traps if you goto the strip)... It calculates mph based on how long it takes you to go through the box...

the g-tech on the other hand just calculates the speed at the end of the 1/4 mile.

Best way to get an acurate g-tech time is to some flat road, and try not to spin the tires at all... The more you spin, the less acurate it will be.

Pretty accurate...if it is off a little, it is always off consistently, so you can tell if your mods are giving you better times. Not bad.

I don't need a G-tech, I live less than 10 minutes from a nice 1/4 mile track.
