NO.

You should fuse the added lights separately and control them by a relay and/or switch.

If you absolutly have to go now, unplug the new lights and put the normal fuse back in.

so lets say i add some driving lights to my 7. i could hook them to a relay that turns on when my headlights are on, but they should be connected to their own fuse to get their 12v from the battery.

correct?

the fuse is there to protec the wires... adding a bigger fuse could lead to the wires melting instead of the fuse blowing...

Bah! you crackheads are way too picky .. I will bet my ***** that a 5 amp bigger fuse is NOT going to cook a wire before it cooks the fuse. Common its 5 amps he's talking not 50. In a pinch until you can get the right one (weeks or months if need be) a 5 amp bigger fuse is fine.
