this is what i got from mazdatrix when i emailed them about it awhile ago:

The comp. engine mounts work great. They are a Mazda COMP. compound rubber which is not urethane. It does not transmit any vibration at all. Solid mounts will transmit a lot of vibration and for the street its not recommended.

I have the Mazda comp motor mounts on my AE ... they seem great so far i haven't really hit it wil alot of power yet .. but it feels really good. The ones I have are not solid .. just more solid than the standard ones. I posted a picture on them on this thread

If you haven't gotten them, do it NOW.&nbsp They are cheaper than stock ones for chistsakes!&nbsp And anyone who complains they transmit more vibration has got a pretty sensitive butt.

Is there any performance gain to be had with aftermarket motor mounts? Or is it purely a comfort thing?

They really do tighten up the drivetrain and reduce engine torquing. There's really no negative impacts to 'em - they're a really good idea if you're putting in new motor mounts.
