fuse keeps blowing!
hey guys, i was driving today and my windows started not to work as i switched them up. i checked the fuses and found the one that was blown. i replaced it and it just keeps blowing on me. i dont know what to do about this problem. please help me =] btw my car is a 91 vert.
Seems one of the window motors is shorting out. Maybe. Will one window work and all is fine or is it either window that causes a blown fuse?
Is one window going slow and binding? This is the WINDOW fuse that is blowing? Sure?
It's supposed to be a thirty amp fuse.

yes, i know it is a thirty amp fuse that is green. the moment i put in the new fuse, and press the switch to roll the windows up, the fuse pops. the windows do not go up at all because of this and yes i am sure its the window fuse. i dont know what to do now
first, find yourself an eletronic service manual. Look for the electrical diagram for your "not working" window and switches.
But from experience, if I were you, open the door panels, get to the window motor itself. There should be a B+ and B- terminal. Hook up with DVOM and measure the OHM. If you have 0 or infinity, your motor is internally shorted. Get urself a new motor. If there is a reading, according to the FSM, it should also give you a spec. Compare the spec. If it is out of spec, get urself a new window motor.
If the above did not work. Recall on any previous work you've done on the vehicle. Can you shorted a circuit with that specific window? If so, you would have to trace the wires by testing resistances from point to point and narrow yourself down to the culprit. Hope this helps.
Sorry I dont own a FC, but I do have an FD. Good luck.

FD owner above is just about right. You have a short to ground, either in the load or between the window switch and the load(motor). If you don't have a volt meter to test resistance, find someone who does. Or spend $20 for a cheap one and read the manual.
I'll ask once more. The fuse blows when which window is being operated? The left or the right? That should cut your troubleshooting in half. But you didn't answer that. Therefore you have no sense of direction.
And what happens if you try to raise or lower the right side window using the switch on the right hand door panel?
