Ok i hear a funny noise when im driving it comes from the rear of my rx, when i give it gas it makes a whining noise dont kno if its from the diff or the tranny or the uni joint on the drive shaft, i checkd the diff fluid and changed it with lucas but it still makes the noise, also when i take it out of gear or put it in gear the tranny makes a hard noise like a banging noise it also makes a banging noise sometimes when i push the clutch in, im new to these cars so im really confused. any help would be great thanks guys

(p.s) what kind of oil are you guys using in your cars? i was told to use some kind of mineral oil?? my car is non turbo and it just hit 130k, thanks

 

sounds like your dif is going out

the banging means your dif mount or tranny mount is busted.

 

thanks, how much does a diff cost and where is a good place to get 1? ill just buy all new mounts, thanks man
