Well, Ted the reasons I went w/ the 3rd gen upper intake maniflod are 1. It has a slightly larger throttle body and very slightly larger 2ndary runners. 2. TB does not lead directly to a large plenum w/ a 90 deg "wall" inline w/ TB- in short it seems to be more designed for a boost application, not a compromise for off boost operation. 3. It has very direct runners- made it easy to remove all bumps and polish the etire length inside all runners w/ only a 10" rod and emery/crocus cloth on a die grinder! Very smooth! 4. I think it looks much better when using non top mount IC and it is popular in Japan - yes, I do try to emulate the Japanese aftermarket trends on my Japanese car.
Only (possible) downsides I saw were 1. It had much smaller primary runners. I ported them larger up to the bend and modified the bends radius when I matched it to my 89+ lower mani- so probably no problem there. 2. After matching to my 89+ lower mani. there is a slight increase in runner diameter on the primary runners as it transitions between mani.s-so some drop in velocity there. Ian

Im not sure exactly what Rocky (owner of red TII) would take for it...but if anyone is seriously interested, I can look into it for you. Ted, those turbos are both stage 2 BNR upgrades, (will support 325 RWHP each)

Well see if it makes some power! I want 600 RW. That would be fun to drive around on when I feel like being scared shitless!! I am currently shopping for a Ford 8.8 rear end set up. They are around 5-600 bones. June 1 is the dead line b/c Goldie is gettin a nice paint job and fixin! She'll be as good as new!!!

stage 2? damm got pics of a stage 4?

out of curiosity :=P

what is the biggest upgrade
not taking into account clearence issues

Can you do T-66 Upgrade in theory?
except a T series are Mid-Shafts
and stock are small shafts

so 62-1 would be the biggest you can go eh

I can do a t66 in a t04B housing, but that is extensive machine work . It would definately be a sleeper! It would be difficult to go bigger than a P trim in the stock Turbine housing... The bigger Turbine wheel helps keep the boost steady, but when you get so much power going throught that turbine housing, it will boost spike.. A t66 is too big for the design of the series 5 modified manifold. Thats why I don't do it.... Now if I could put a q trim in the stock turbine housing, that would be awesome. Then the T66 would work .

Well The T-66's come in P-trim
with Q-trim as a option no?

as for boost spike
I would add a deltagate (I got mine new for $135 on ebay )

what about a 62-1?
