full boost stumble on t2

i have a 87 se with a turbo 2 engine and drive train. the car was running perfect with the top mount intercooler. never missed a beat in boost and out of boost. the engine is a rotary ressurection rebuild 3mm apex seals and large street port. it has the stock turbo at ab 9 to 10 psi. stock injectors. has a aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. set at roughly 35 psi with vacuum on. i turned the pressure up some on the regulator so i would get alittle more fuel. with switching to my fmic will i need to tune the fuel system? ran perfect with top mount at same boost level. now front mount has full boost hesitation.like if i hold it hafe throttle and its at like 7psi its ok all the way to ab 7000 when i shift. just at full throttle it cuts out and has back firing. do i just need to ditch the front mount? or tune the fuel and timing. since i am assuming the air is alot colder now with the front mount. i felt the tubes and the hot side going into the intercooler was warm and coming out was cold like it was supposed to do. didnt know if that was my problem. maybe a fuel cut in the computer?

9-10lbs of boost on stock injectors is not good. If you do tune get an rtek 2.1 with some bigger injectors. Maybe set the boost controller to 7 psi and see what it does at full throttle.

yeah, there is no way he's getting too much fuel if he has stock injectors. upgrade your injectors. and get an rtek if you don't want a standalone.
