Fuel treatments/ oil types?

Hey guys, just out of curiosity what type of engine oil do you use on your 7's? Brand/ Viscosity ya know.

And also do you guys believe in any of that fuel treatment to "clean your fuel injectors?"

Also have you guys seen those "super coolant" additivies that make the coolant much cooler? Any Luck with that? Thought it might be a good idea to use that on our cars since they overheat so much eh?

And yeah... treatment stuff in general? Yay or nay for 7's?

Thanks!

Use the search function. All the stuff you are asking about has been covered... many times. "Water Wetter" "injector cleaning" "oil weights" should get you started.

With the omp: Castrol 20w/50

Without the omp: Mobil 1 10w/30

Water Wetter works.

Now why in the world would you post two different weights because you have removed the stock MOP? If anything, you should indicate two different weights for different times of the year. 20W-50 is better to run in the summer months because of higher ambient temperatures and 10W-30 is generally good to run in the winter months if not year-around.

you can run synthetic if you have the omp removed correct? so i guess the oil type does matter.

You can run a good synthetic oil whether or not you have the MOP removed or not. The myth about running good synthetic in a rotary engine is just a myth. Nothing bad can come of running a good synthetic oil in a rotary engine.

True on the synthetic oil.

To clarify, the oil must NOT prohibit burning.....the engine is lubricated internally by injecting oil into the housings. Certain synthetic oils have such a high breakdown temperature that they don't burn and stick to everything, thus leaving dry areas and cause premature meltdown of the engine.

See, that is the problem. This myth keeps getting propagated. Did you read my post up above? Using a good synthetic oil in rotary engine has NO adverse effects. With or without the MOP.
