Fuel Smell

The FC started releasing fuel smell into the car especially with the heater on.
The smell was stronger under the hood just around the intake manifold.

I still drove the car around for a week. Luckily it didnt' catch on fire.
Although I had a fire extinguisher with me at all times in the car, I believe the fuel fire would be so rapid if it had caught on fire.

Anyway,

Cause of smell - Fuel leak: Fuel Injectors and Pulsation Damper

So the intake manifold comes off...
Replaced all fuel lines.
Fuel Injectors cleaned and replaced the o rings and grommets.
'made' my own PD off of another car that was very similar.
Cleaned TB
Replaced Vacuum lines and fixed alot of vacuum leaks
Replaced coolant lines and fixed Thermowax
Adjusted TPS

Everything's good. The car runs alot better. The turbo spools alot more. No more rich smell, flooding, warms up good, thermowax is working and all that....just alot better, except that the idle is all messed up. It won't idle.

It revs up and down between 1500 and at times it would just stay up there.
Sometimes it would stay around 1000 but as soon as I drive off, it goes back to the 1500 surging up and down 'idle' it's pretty bad and loud.

I think I've looked everywhere, but I'm going to recheck everything again.
I didn't replace the Intake manifold gasket because it was still good.
I'm going to replace it when I recheck.

The moment between acceleration and deceleration is unusual to me.

Photos and videos attatched:

Thanks.

I adjusted it before. I'll check again when I recheck everything.
I also followed this from ReTed TPS HOW TO
Ordered the Upper Intake Manifold from Ray Crowe. $3
Some parts store was asking $27. Crazy.

There are a couple of cars that I had to set the TPS at the ECU or using the factory diagnostic plug, that Ted's normally correct method didn't work.

The bouncing 1500-2000 RPM "idle" seems to be fixed.
Replaced the $3 intake manifold gasket and messed around with the throttle body. I think it's a **** load of screws, this and that..
Resetted the TPS to 1K ohm using the ReTed fc3spro.com guide.

Thanks.

**
I had leaks inside under the pedals.
So while I was there doing the idle ****, the leaking Clutch Master Cylinder was replaced and might as well replaced the Slave and SS Lines from CorkSport. Master was about $25 and Slave was about $40.

All set.
