Try the resistor relay itself, are you getting 12v before and after? Or possibly check the ground at the battery.

Look at the wiring diagram for the fuel pump system. Measure the voltage at every point along the circuit until you find where the voltage drops.

It''s normal to get approx 9vdc at the pump when the engine is not under load. As in idling.

Disconnect the green/red wire at the resistor/relay and voltage at the pump should go to alternator voltage/battery voltage.

When the car is idling, you might get a sewing needle and ***** one of the blue/red wires. Those wires should have batt/alternator voltage since they are prior to the resistor/relay package.

Feel free to start your own thread rather than hijack someone elses with an unrelated topic. Or search for all the other times this has been covered.

Actually I should've just told you to look in the FSM where fuel pump removal and the fuel level sender are clearly shown. Remove hoses, remove screws, remove pump assembly. Doesn't get any easier.

Hijacking threads with unrelated topics is bad forum etiquette and just plain rude.

And the original poster doesn't need to remove the fuel pump.

Its a cover plate in the hatch, 4 screws then like 8 more rusty ones under it, its not that hard to pull a fuel pump. I'd tell you to depressurize the lines but it'll be more fun when you get sprayed in the face by gas.

You need to get a meter out and find out what is going on. Don't be a parts swapper troubleshooter. That's not trouble shooting.

Don't just randomly replace parts if you don't even know what's wrong. Do what I said above.
