if it doesn't die you spliced the wrong wire or did something wrong.

So did mine. It died pretty quickly. Usually 5-6 seconds.

I've disconnected the fuel pump plug at idle on the n/t and the thing ran for a long, long, long time. More than 15 seconds. I said at idle. Not stepping on the pedal.
