FTP's Wired To Headlight Switch

I would like to put lights in place of my FTP's.

http://www.smempire.org/staff/ryosuke/ftp/index.php

i would be using that write up but what i want to know is if there is a way to wire the lights so that they turn on when you turn the fogs on. i want to do it like that because i dont want to have an extra switch and can use them and the fogs as day runners.

the JDM ftp's already have lights in them. that might be easier than trying to modify yours

Why not just add a switch to turn on the headlights in the "down" position for use as daytime running lights? That's what I did, all you have to do is add a switch to ground a wire in the headlight cluster.

Yep, there sure is a way. Wire them up to your fog lights.

If you are using factory fogs with a factory switch then you must realize that they do not come on without the headlights on. Unless you wired them differently.

well what i mean is that you can turn on the fogs without turning the headligjhts on and that when i want them to come on and then stay on when i want to put the headlights up.

You realize that the USDM FTP lenses don't have bulbs right? Your highbeam shining through them is what makes the light.

Read this: http://aaroncake.net/RX-7/lights.htm

Use a relay as recommended, and trigger the relay with the ignition, the fog lights or whatever.
