FTP light mod

I have an idea in mind for the FTP's. I want to make a switch that will function in the same way as pulling the turn signal lever forward. Basically it momentarilly turns on the headlights while they are still down in order to signal to pass...hence FTP (for any who didn't know). My idea is to run this to a switch that isn't momentary, so I can have the headlights shining through the FTP's for evening driving before it really gets dark. I think it would look pretty cool with the running lights on at the same time. Ideas on how to wire this?

Wire a cut switch to the popup motor circuit.

Then you just flip the switch & turn on the lights normally.

Looks sexy. I plan on having HID headlights in mine, so I'll have some nice white light coming through there. Very unique looking mod though...I like it alot.

FTP lenses (are NOT) meant for long term light use..
they will get brittle and crack after time using them for short peroids is fine... this is my experice with using the FTP lenses as lights...just adding my two cents =)
