Front Wiper Switch
Front Wiper Switch
Within the last couple of days my front wiper switch functions have stopped working. At first it was just mist then high went, etc... finally after that 2 week straight of rain low speed stopped.
Anyone know fixes wipers switches or knows the parts to replace the relays?
Thanks

I think you might have a bad wiper motor, actually. To my knowledge, the low almost never goes out, and the mist and high always go out together. I honestly don't know how to test it, but I suspect Icemark does. Maybe search for posts by him about it.
Edit: I have a know good wiper motor if that turns out to be the problem. If you need it, I'll let it go for cheap.

Commonly all the the front functions will die at once and all you will have left is the intermittent setting. The relay in the switch is bad. I can repair it for a small fee or you MAY be able to send it to IceMark but... I think he's no longer accepting these for repair. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
When you pull the switch out to be fixed, you can go to the plug and find the blue/white wire and the Blue/Red wires.
Put the key to ON, then ground one at a time, the blue/red then the blue/white wires. The wipers should run when you ground either wire proving the motor is good.
Or go to the motor and gnd the blue/white or blue/red wires with the plug attached to the wiper motor. Just backprobe the wires at the connector with a grounded wire. The motor will run if the key is to ON.

Do the wipers "park" in the right position when turned off? or do they randomly stop in the middle of the windshield? mine is doing that right now and I think it might be the park switch contacts in the motor itself. Mine works fine on high or low speed, they just won't park in the right place.

Mouser.com has them cheaper than Digi-key. The website said the one wiper was backordered for 12 weeks but it ended up coming to me 2 days after the other parts I bought came in.
