Front/Rear Strut Bar Interchangeability
Well since search isn't working I might as well ask... Can a front and rear strut tower bar (brace) be interchangeable [ie the front bar can be moved and bolted onto the back struts]? I am asking because I am not finding any rear tower bars short of $100. I am definitely going to buy the front bar and test out this myself, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this before. I measured the distance between the two struts and they appear to be equal.
Front strut bars can be had for about $20, I certainly don't want to shell out anything more than that for a bar of metal.

i have JIC bars in my Rx-7, when compared to my roommates ebay 25.00 bars that he got for his DA. Well, you get what you pay for. the ebay bars have slop in them, where the JIC bars are rigid and down right a pain in the *** to get on, but once they are on, it's a noticable difference.

I used to have a Cusco upper front bar on my FD, but it feels the same as the eBay bar that I bought to replace it. Anyways, so my theory doesn't work huh? I guessed as much, but it was worth a shot asking. Do you guys know where the cheapest rear strut bar can be had?

I had an ebay bar on the front that the last owner put on at first, thing was a POS. It was never rigid or tight, I could never get it to tighten at all, and it was just all around junk. I dunno how long it had been on there, but I'd hope it wasn't like that new.
I have corksport front/rears now, and they're much better quality, MUCH.

There's much more to a bar than it just fitting
think of materials, a cheapo eBay one will flex and bend, a cusco one wont.
also comes down to fitting and the finer craftmanship
in shot, don't be a stinge, you get what you pay for...
