front cover removal ????

I need to remove the front cover on my S4 T2. Can I do that while the engine is still in the car? Isn't there a spacer or needle bearing or something that will fall off if the pulleys are removed?

I tired to find it on the video and I tried to search for the answer also but with no luck.

The galley that the oil follows to supply the OMP must be clogged because no oil came out after I removed the OMP and started the engine.

Would it hurt anything tried to blow it open with an air gun

A few ?

Have you been driving the car like it is?

Is there any oil in the omp lines?

Taking the front cover off is not hard. You can do it while the engine is in the car. I would say the hardest problem is getting the main bolt out( 22mm I think ).

Also make sure you realize what front cover you have. Some are early castings which only need the o-ring. Others need a teflon support for the oring. I used hondabond RTV sealant for the front cover when I put it back together.

You should also buy or obtain a FSM.

If you are removing the front cover while the engine is in the car you must keep the clutch pedal depressed the entire time or the needle bearing in the engine will drop out of place.
