Front Cover removal

Okay so i just got my car back together and the front cover on but when i tried starting it it would barely start and well i got it to idle after playing with the CAS but the accel is sluggish and the engine vibrates. I havent had a chance to put a timing light on it yet but are these symptoms of a crushed needle bearing? Im really freaked out right now help would be appreciated

sounds like you have a dropped bearing, usually there is a slight grinding sound when starting as well

hmmmm if it were droped it should still start up fine shouldnt it? could the CAS gear possibly have had some effect on it if it were spun around while off the car? i dont belive i heard any grinding noise when i started it and i dont belive i can see the E-shaft moving around either. this one has definately got me stumped

yeah, if you moved the CAS off angle that could cause both sluggish and poor running.

You won't see the E-Shaft moving around if it is the bearing.

I'll put a timing light on it tomarrow, if it is timing can i lift the cas and move it w/o the cover off? I sorta played around with it a bit but i didnt move it to far. cause timing would be more to blame for no/slow start, troubles reving, and bad/no idle. Icemark....your the best lol

hey, i checked my timing today and it seemed to be right on the yellow mark at idle and then i decided to pull it and reset the CAS and well it worked, it reved normally but it didnt like to start after that???? possibly the plugs being detonated and/or covered in fuel? anyways ill check it tomarrow but i did find about a quart of oil under my car after startup...****! all i wanted to do is fix my oil leak in the first place OH GOD WHY?!?!?!
