Front cover mod

I'm in the process of putting a s5 turbo ii into a first gen and am at a cross roads as regards the front cover. As you know, first gen motor mount is at front and s5 is on the sump. Do I :

1) drill, tap, weld s5 cover so as to accomodate first gen engine mount
2) replace cover with other cover (which specific one ?) and perform mod
for turbo return line.

I'm leaning towards (2) above. Has anyone done this before ? Also, as the sump has to be changed anyays to clear the steering, which sump would be the right one to use ?

thanks guys

it would be easier to swap out a gsl front cover. i would read the first gen section and look up on the stickies. it'll tell you where to tap for the return line too.

yup, just swap the front plate to a se front plate. As for the oil return just drill and tap a hole on a nice flat area. Seen it done.
